Iroquois, Ontario to Cleveland, Ohio    530 Miles (2867 Miles Total)     Cloudy & Rain - 71F

Jay-ee Double-L Oh!

Behold! Milk in a bag!

After an all-too short visit with my relatives and parents (I really need more vacation days) it was time to depart and head west along the Seaway and Highway 2. Prescott has many old stone buildings and is home to Fort Wellington, which guarded the river during the war of 1812 and lobbed cannonballs across the river at the United States. Canadians and Americans haven't always been so friendly.

I crossed back into the United States over the Thousand Islands Bridge. A routine border crossing that was unremarkable, which is good.

The major stop today was in LeRoy, NY, birthplace of Jello. Everybody loves Jell-o! They have a jell-o museum in LeRoy which is rather cool. There are all sorts of jello artifacts, including a collection of jello molds and CAT scans that prove that a bowl of jello and the human brain have the same natural vibration frequencies and waves.

Leaving LeRoy I headed west on the Thruway to Buffalo and then south along Lake Erie to Cleveland. It rained most of the way, which seems to be the theme of the trip: The Drizzle Tour '03.

A wash-out again.

Tomorrow: Cleveland Rocks!
